Hey all - I’ve been doing some unique art films that are kind of a workflow nightmare. 45 minute long single take with a 6k source, single batch films - 65 to 70k frames to render in batch. Not terribly complicated stuff - no ML, motion warp tracking, etc… In fact, I could probably do them with Flame pre-anniversary with about 10-12 nodes…
But now I’m doing a live event and trying to create the same batch comp effect in realtime (with HD sources) using Touch Designer. It’s node based, and what I’m trying to do would be relatively easy if there was a one-to-one for Flame nodes to TD nodes.
I’m diving into the tutorials, and I’m 95% sure I’ll be able to figure it out, but just thought I’d ask if anyone here already has knowledge of it and could save me some time by answering some (hopefully) easy questions. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
I use it on my on-set system. Runs on an older mini with declink pro 4. Captures up to 3 video streams recording prores proxy qts which are then ingested into Flame.
I’m not exactly fluent as it was setup by a former colleague but pretty easy to modify with the help of Claude.
You should be able to replicate your setup easliy imho.
Hoy Hell Y’all - yeah, this is pretty amazing. In a half day, I’ve created a TD script that does pretty much my exact Flame batch in real time. Just doing some expressions instead of keyframes for now. The performance is amazing! But Lordy is this interface wonky - crazy how folks re-invent the wheel with simple things like adjusting numerical values.
