Wonder if this has been updated @MikeV?
I get this error. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

Create Dated Folder execute callback [\<function create\_dated\_folder at 0x7f3ad847dc60\>((),)] failed because of an error of type ModuleNotFoundError(“No module named ‘PySide2’”)

What version of Flame are you trying to run this in?

It does work for us: flame 2025.0.1 on RL8.7, although it was a manual install
we’re also using the sysconfig.cfg → shared\_folders → python directory

Unfortunately no love here. It does work in the media panel however.
I was able to change the file so that I can use 2024\_08\_20. underscores instead of dashes in the media panel as our company prefers.
But still nothing in the Media Hub.

Do you get the menu in the Media Hub when you right click on a folder you want to create the dated folder in?

No I do not. Weird, now i do. All working. really strange. thanks @MikeV

One more time. It’s kind of wonky. If I go to another folder above the current folder I’m in, the dialog shows up. If I try it in the current folder, nothing. I seems to have to move around the folder structure to get it to show up. Sorry.

</div>

OK, I’m done. Users fault. You have to select the folder at the top of the display. If not selected, no dialogue. Now that I’ve pulled my head out of my butt, I’m good.

Was this solved? We are trying to use it in 2025.2.2 and it works int he libraries but doesn’t show up in the Mediahub panel.

As Hengy found out- make sure you have the folder you’re in selected at the top of the list on the left. I think that sets the “scope” for the script to show up and function.

another strange behavior of the ‘MediaHub Files’ scope is whether or not the current directory has write permissions, ‘MediaHub Projects’ scope is only active when you have accessed a flame project, and ‘MediaHub Archives’ requires you to be navigating a flame archive.
in my experience.

I just did an update to the script where a folder no longer needs to be selected to create the dated/timed folders. In addition to selecting a folder the dated and timed folder can now be created in whatever folder the MediaHub files view is open to.
