flame just has to have at least as good collaboration as resolve.
Or avid
or even premiere has it now.
flame is lagggging hard in that regard, there is no way around that fact
We can grade and work on the edit in the dame timeline simultaniously in resolve, its next level and costs nothing and the whole
project server is a docker container… i mean
did I mention you can put the resolve project server in the cloud and still access the same project at the same time ?

Project server is not for everyone.
Open clip timelines mean that everyone has been able to work on the same timeline for over a decade.
Open clip precomps means multiple people can work on the same batch group simultaneously.
YMMV
i would also take .flmprj files instead of any database …
dublicating data and loosing controll of it is no fun
openclips tie in the renders with your batch groups, so i think there are integral to yhe workflow
-
publish plates with openclips and batchfiles, this crestes writefile nodes for you
-
pull in the openclips into your timeline and reconform against
-
open shots as batchgroups , comp, render
-
eveything is versioned and in place, held together by the openclip
obviosuly if you start with flare you are not getting a conform, so ou are stating somewhere differnet or need to conform in resolve etc.
cant be, everything was there the whole time another project with the same ocio config launched fine, pciocheck validated it too.
Will try to recreate the bug but this kind of random stuff makes me loose confidence
just easier management especially one you have 2 machines and it doesnt take any effort to have them
The whole workflow gives you instant nice write nodes with good pathing for all your shots, you get isntant batch saves to disk , boom its neat!
