Flame Setup throws an unzip error trying to load user settings?

2025.2.2. Sequioa 15.7.2. There’s a older MacPro Intel tower our engineer (on vacation) setup to PCOIP into. Been messing with it so it’s ready to hand off to an assist as needed. Trying to import User prefs it throws this error. Seems like a permissions problem, maybe? We made sure the Flame user has full admin and checked permissions up and down. We CAN drag and drop users folder by hand and it seems to work fine.

The problem is that your file (aaron2025.zip) is located in a folder with spaces in its name (aaron flame prefs). The procedure should work if you rename the folder to “aaron_flame_prefs” or move the file to a folder with no spaces in its name.

We will see what can be done to prevent this to happen in the future.

Oh cool, I’ll fix that up!

Just FYI that 100% solved the problem. If everyone just used Smoke Hotkeys, we wouldn’t need to swap users

@aaronneitz - boo!
smoke hotkeys are the work of the devil

This issue has been fixed in Flame 2027. From the What’s New page in the Online help:

Changes have been made to the Import user settings function in the Setup application.

  • User settings can be imported on a new system, before the application is launched for the first time.
  • All existing user settings are overwritten when a user profile is imported.
