Looking for a pen tablet which works flawlessly with Flame. Is it easier or more difficult to use Flame with a [drawing tablet](https://pctechtest.com/20-best-drawing-tablets-for-beginners)? and which one to get? a wacom or do other tablets work too? ---

A wacom is a must have for Flame, so def. a good choice getting one. Way faster to work with the swipe features flame has. Both Linux and Mac work good with wacom drivers, never tested another brand to tell. ---

You’re just using a mouse?! A tablet is essential for Flame, lots of gestural stuff will only work with a tablet and of course, paint! Standard is a wacom, however size is a personal preference, personally, I like the 9x12 ones. ---

Using a Mouse is like painting with a Soap on a rope. A tablet is a must for Flame, and pretty much everything else too. ---

Wacom tablets are literally everywhere in studios. Others are out there, but none are as precise and as well supported as Wacomtablets. I definitely recommend the Wacom Intuos Pro series. They have the widest support and plus one day you can connect with someone else’s machine and use yours to control it. I really appreciate your question. How would anyone know unless you’ve been a flame artist at a facility where you just see tablets everywhere? ---

And who could forget the move away from corded pens to cordless. When this happened at MPC, our first cordless pens were tethered to the desk with string! ---

Notice that none of the tablets are display tablets. On the link in the original post there is a statement that they are the best, and that it’s difficult to use a non-display tablet because it can cause an eye/hand coordination disconnect. That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard. I have never used a display tablet, but from the few people I have talked to about them they confirm that the big problem is that your hand is always covering parts of the image. It takes about 12 seconds to master the eye/hand thing. Probably less if you’ve ever played a video game. ---
