Hey wizards,

Does anybody know how to import an openclip and keep it’s name?
Openclip is called something like “SH010\_COMP”. But when importing, the name get’s replaced by the embedded source name…

Thanks! \<3

How are you making your openClips?
You can easily change the name/create a new openClip with a name of your choosing when using the write node in batch.

The openClip that gets created when doing sequencePublish always uses the name of the clip on your timeline.

I have long since stopped calling my clips SH001\_ungraded becasue that ungraded tag follows the comps and openClips all the way through the process.

You can try a dynamic rename option using a tag, will give it a relevant version number.
