# Quick questrion - force cache on

Is there a pref somewhere that will make flame default to caching media on input on all new projects?

there is a cache button on the left side in the media hub. On project creation it defaults off, but once turned on it stays there.

True. But what I was wondering was if there was a pref to make it default to cache on for a future projects?
