Hello

In the following post it’s something written about native mp4 support in Flame.

What would such a native mp4 support change?

Joe

Currently we have a lot of web deliverables that require .mp4 deliverables. And we’d like native export of those deliverables. That’s it. 🙂

As long as there is licensing issues with mp4 I’m pretty sure that’s not going to be an option.

Thank’s for the informations. I haven’t tried yet to export to mp4, but my idea was, that I saw mp4-export in a tutorial (fxpdh?)

Does that mean, mp4-export can not be done within the GUI of Flame?

It exports an mp4 as a mov, not a .mp4.

wow, uncompressed. That’s a long time (over 10 years) that I created something like that. Just curious, are you not using ProRes? ProRes 4444 is high quality and good and fast and smaller than Uncompressed.

Must be LA clients. Them and their uncompressed.

Yup! It’s funny you can usually tell where clients live based on deliverables.

Glad the beach was gorgeous! Still cold here!!!

just curious, but how much would you estimate the MP4-licensing fee for Flame? Is it really that expensive that Autodesk does not like to shoulder the costs?
