# Vic error

I’m getting an unusual error message when running vic on our linux box, I have never seen this before, has anyone else seen this? What does it mean? how do I fix it?  
Ta.  
MESSAGE : server ‘message’ cannot provide message BIO\_CANT\_SUBMIT\_JOB\_MESSAGE  
MESSAGE : unknown message BIO\_CANT\_CONNECT\_TO\_MGR\_DOUBLE requested from server ‘message’  
MESSAGE : unknown message BIO\_CANT\_CONNECT\_TO\_MGR\_DOUBLE requested from server ‘message’  
Could not initialize messaging system: Unable to initialize messages.  
Connected to localhost:8244 [fd:3]  
Disconnecting socket [fd:20]  
Disconnecting socket [fd:3]  
Uninitializing Python interpreter  
Stopping managed threads.

The only thing we can think of is that you had a bad installation. You should re-install the application and if it still doesn’t work contact support.

Thanks Fred, this has only happened since I installed 2023, but I’m still using 2022.3.so I guess I should uninstall 2023?

If you are not using it you should indeed uninstall it and contact support if you get the same result when you will install 2023 back.
