We all have funky, esoteric habits to fulfil our duty, even if it costs listening to violence-glorifying Deutsch-Rap. I mean, sitting all day in front of the software that wants to make my head explode? At the beginning of my Flame journey, I literally had to physically abandon the tablet every 20 min to cool down my brain for 10 minutes. Today, I open the window and listen to the birdsong (how left-liberal is that? But I’m also vegan). But I’m rarely doing the heavy lifting anymore, only some super-soft editing and occasional colour grading of client-less videos. But a proper Batch could make me listen to Jim Carrol’s People Who Died. Matching my age. 30 years ago, it had been Fade To Grey or something similar when the rough got tough. I was much softer back then. Music is all about memory lane.

Its a dual-layout desk , i can switch between resolve layout with the reference monitor in the middle and the flame layout with it on top using monitor arms.

I am personally not a fan of the mini panel either, would rather have a tangent element

For years I had my back to the client as it was the “standard” way of setting up suites back then. Then we switched to a smaller desk facing clients and it was so much better for interaction and client back/forth. Way more personable and easier to communicate that way than constantly having to turn around.
I just recently started a new job and first thing I did was turn the desk around in the Flame suite … LOL

they are the regular 27" 1440p office monitors from eizo.

cant complain about then, obviously not “color accurate” or whatever its a office monitor but they are very stable and all of those in my office still look the same to each other , no suprises, just good quality solid monitor.
