I really like the current Create Batch Group workflow, and would like to keep it going into unmanaged land. I also have some time before rolling things out, so Python it’ll be. Thanks for the super fast reply, Kirk!

I like that workflow too. I can share a script with you that might help get you started. It copies all the metadata it can from a Render node to a Write node. You can define your default paths in the script. I’ll just need to simplify it if you’re interested.

Unless I am missing something, I very, very rarely need to grab a Write Node. Publishing builds all the Write Nodes.
You should install Logik Projekt for a second to see how simple it is. Publish creates everything. And Precomps/Denoise/WhatverPrecompsYouWant are open clipped.

I’m still very much in the Rumsfeldian land of unknown unknowns when it comes to the full picture of working unmanaged. I think I did a sequence publish one time 8 years ago when I did my first indie feature. It’s been a while! And yeah I should probably get around to talking to Phil about his Projekt project. Thanks for the nudge.
