LL on a server and it serving NFS to make “hybrid work” is extremely BAD , idk why they say this is viable, ive tried i think eveyrthing to make it work but it never would work well, just issues after issues after file locks and bad performance.

Goodsync works the best for me , i have a windows machine and I 2 way sync between lucid filespace my NAS .
it still has just the same issues as any other 2 way sync and “on file change “ in goodsync does not support the lucid filespace.
we are looking into better solutions a.t.m
lucid works great when everyone is remote and you use lucidlink classic
Hybrid tho.. is a tough nut to crack.

thanks Randy. ill check that out. I removed LL from my server and mounted it as default on the linux flame. Now caching it to the NVME local and perhaps this will be much better than hitting the server. Its a shame its not good for this hybrid shared locally and with remote artists. If this works then all is good, just took a minute to get around NOT using my fileserver as an unmanaged workflow anymore. An IT guy at the client side also said there are other options that might present themselves in the future but right now LL is best at this type of remote artist workflow. Ill try out this fuse trick to get caching. i like the idea of caching clips not entire swaths of folders. the cg team on this project is really messy so not helping in pinning select folders.
