I am going back to the freelancing life. You guys think I should buy the M2 or wait for the M3 80 core? How long you think Flame will adapt to this new chip?

You can pick it up next week, and no reason that it shouldn’t run Flame. Same CPU and everything that already exists in other Macs.

So many arguments for the M3 Ultra besides speed like on chip Raytracing Engine, Thunderbolt 5, more (V)RAM etc. I would definitely go for the M3. Flame should run native like @allklier already mentioned.
