Well, the issue is that export templates, naming convention template and all that should be a configuration file and something any timeline or tool can refer to, instead the current Resolve system is not ready for modern integration with VFX so it is a real issue. The software is SO GOOD otherwise… I can’t believe they can’t get their API in a good place and cater for VFX integration.
I have been thinking is part of their agenda, somehow. 
I really hope so, automating Resolve and integrating it in our pipelines would make a world of a difference.
