Is it possible for particles to cast shadows onto a ground plane? The particles themselves are being shaded, but it does not seem to cast any shadows. Is there a magic button hidden somewhere I haven’t found?
Hm. I guess it would depend on your particle type but I have successfully cast shadows from particles, as far as I can remember. I’ll give it a try… Have you tried sphere as the particle type?

Here is my simple setup and schematic. If you are generating from a light source maybe you turned off shading?

It’s being generated from a light source, through a 3D path. Looks like it is working now
