It is documented in the 2026.2.3 and 2027.0.1 Fixed Issues List as:
FLME-72199 : Project save operations are slower than expected when using an NFS location using /hosts/IP address or /hosts/hostname.
It is not documented in the 2025.2.7 since this version does not natively have the problem: you need to have installed 2026.2.x / 2027 to get the shared component with the issue.
ahhh that maybe explains my weird observation about /hosts/
in August 2025 i tried to deep-trace that behaviour, lets hope that is fixed now!
Ive got odd extremely slow-saving issues on my setup here and its been annoying and I am trying to investigate whats going on … stumbled across super bad IOPS
Happy to talk ideas if anyone has any ( looking over at alan here hahah)

Yep.
Just install the 2026.2.3 SP and you will be able to use your 2025.2.x and see a speed improvement.
Looking forward your feedback ASAP.

ALan:
We’ve now had to skip, 2026, 2026.1, 2026.2, 2027, with no end in sight.
Same. And we’re spending monthly dough for a product that we can’t safely upgrade.
I won’t move from 2025.2.2 until or unless I hear much better feedback from braver users.

We have gone on the wild side, and upgrade to 2025.2.7 successfully.
