Thanks, Fred, and please extend the thanks to the entire Dev team! I’ve been on a job for the last couple of weeks that’s become a monster - 50+ conforms, etc, running on a Mac Studio. I installed 2026.2.1 today and it’s made a HUGE difference. Performance is as I’d expect.
Bravo!
And as a clarifying question that I think I know the answer to but am actually not 100% sure about— since it’s a service pack update and not a full fledged update, that means our existing 2026.2 projects will work on 2026.2.1 right?
Yes. I was able to open up my 2026.2 project without having to convert it, etc.
Some might call that Fantabulous.
Thanks for the clarification! Amazing!!
And just to add to this and contribute…
If you archive a 2026.2.x project it will be compatible with 2026.2 flame. I mean, if you made an archive on 2026.2.1 you’ll be able to open that archive on 2026.2. Same for 2025.2.2 on a 2025.2.1 and so on… and viceversa as long as you are on the same “sub-extension”
The third dot number is compatible with the second dot number.
But if you want to open 2026.2 on 2026.1 not possible. Only 2026.2.x. on 2026.2 / 2025.2.x on 2025.2 / 2024.2.x on 2024.2 etc
