The Noise Artifacting on Linux

Hello! I am getting these weird artifacts on The Noise - Perlin noise, default settings. Looks like the noise is all fragmented/has straight lines running through it.

When I transfer these nodes to a Mac Studio running Flare, the artifacting is gone.

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? I have tried tweaking all the resolution/colour management settings and reinstalling Logik-Matchbook via the portal.

I am running Flame 2025.2.2 with Rocky 8.10 on a RTX5000 ADA GPU

Strange- I have this problem on my Mac flame, though it’s only some of the noise patterns. I just blur it :\

I believe that this has something to do with the OpenGSL emulation in Vulcan.

I noticed a few strange things in matchbox shaders since the change. Some stopped working entirely.

Make a note of the matchboxes that are not functioning as expected.

As for the straight lines in the noise generator - are you viewing the noise at 100# or a multiple thereof?

Or perhaps looking at some arbitrary zoom value. E.g. 171%

Is filtering enabled in your display options?

I don’t think it’s filtering or rounding stuff @philm - for me it’s right out of the box on defaults for some of them. I gotta imagine @PlaceYourBetts is probably onto something here. Something definitely changed when stuff got ported around.

@BrittCiampa - fair point - keep an eye on failures that occur and collect a list of broken tools.
