When I was a kid, every once in a while someone wouldn’t rewind the reel and it would get put up upside down and in reverse. Same shit, different era.

You can also have fun with it… Back in '78 on a s16 projector at my school, my dad was showing a government provided film in biology class about child birth. You always had to rewind the reel before sending it back. I still remember that this projector allowed running in reverse with the bulb on. So we all got to see child birth in reverse. Baby going back in. Memorable moment…
For context: my parents were both teachers. Those years we were on overseas assignment at a very small school for the German embassy kids and the kids from the construction/engineering firms doing infrastructure projects. In a good year we had 35 students across all grades. For grade 1&2 my mom was my classroom teacher, and then grade 3&4 it was my dad. Not as fun as it sounds…
