Dual View in Action Question

Is there a way, when using dual view, to have the axis on the left not be linked to the surface on the right? I find it annoying to select a surface, only to have the axis I’m working with switch to the axis directly above the surface.

Maybe setting the “widget display” to show only the current items might help.
