We’re trying to work out the aperture on a bluescreen shot we have, in the metadata it’s giving us an aperture of 3554. Does anyone know what that figure relates to?
Without any more information my guess would be incorrect
What camera and lens?
The only info we have is what is in the clip metadata. 4608 x 3164, Arri alexa 35. 40mm lens, focus distance 1524mm, lens iris 2.0 + 6/10.
We’ve been asked to make sure our defocus is mathematically correct.
Submit one frame of metadata as xml or json to any LLM and it will give you a best guess.
So dumb of your suppliers to be cryptic about their interchange with you.

Hey Paul, I think I found what that means in the Arri Metadata whitepaper here:
I think its lens linear iris- listed as LDI06-1 above, just a different value that equates to your lens iris 2.0 + 6/10

Damn right! these are a real PITA!
Thanks for that, I’ve passed it on to our Nuke artist
