As the topic of Linux/NVidia vs. Mac comes up every so often (most recently in the Laptop thread), there seems to be a lot of anecdotal information of where Linux has a performance advantage, but it would be nice to have a comprehensive / current list.
The one that is often mentioned is ML Timewarp being orders of magnitude faster on Linux (at least at present).
What other GPU specific operations? I’ve been using MotionVectors a lot, but they seem be equally slow on both. I’ve also done a lot of complex painting, and they seem to be equally slow on both. Timed a few render passes to check.
