If you have a P620, make sure that the Highpoint cards are compatible if you’re planning on using the hardware raid functions. If you’re just going to zfs the drives, it’s not a big deal, but there’s a hardware incompatibility between some of their cards and P620’s.
It’s going into a hpz840 running centos 8.6/8.8. But we do ahve some p620’s, so i’ll be sure to keep you advice close.
Neither of which are support by ADSK, and unless you are using “centos” generically, it is a dead end-of-life OS.
@Frank - the Highpoint 7140 will work just fine in a z840.
Buy the highest capacity NVMe sticks that you can afford.
It’s a filmlight/baselight system, so I am just making sure it works with their “custom” os distro.
