The linkedin comments are spicy. It looks like there’s two camps: “I like vfx companies but don’t appear to work at one” posts that say “i’m glad you are back”, and then way, way more freelancers saying, “you assholes owe me thousands of dollars,”
There’s also the clients who paid the first 50 and never got a single frame of work done. For what it’s worth, They are only buying a name.

My first introduction to this renaming was when Infogrames, mid-tier video game maker, re-badged themselves as Atari, who while iconic, hadn’t made a video game worth mentioning in quite some time.

As a client whom would actually be like yea lets bring our work to this company that just went out of business lost all its employees failed to pay a bunch of them, but guess what they are back from the dead with all new people lets definitely bring our work there..
