So I have the same Qnap NAS at work as I have at home(same model, mounted and named the same). I’m wondering if when I leave the office there is a way to automatically sync my data from work NAS to home NAS?

there is a build in tool in qnap to do just that, and you could run third party tools .
Depending on if you use quts hero or legacy you can use qsync or hb3 to create a 2 way sync job. or snapsync for quots hero.
third party tools like resillio and syncthing might also get the job done.
You bascially want to create firewall rules on one side that allow you to connect from your home, super easy to do with fixed IPs
