Two-up display on the desktop

Would love to see a two up display option on the desktop. I quite often have two use flame without a broadcast monitor. and mostly its fine - apart from the desktop. a two up display or an option of seeing the clip you press bigger would be good. and I dont mean just going into play, this is when you are just generally going around the desktop quickly selecting things and looking at them, batch and everything else is ok as they have two up options.

There’s a two-up view option (called ‘Source-Sequence’) on the middle far-left of the Desktop:

I guess he wants to have the desktop reels on the second viewport. I’ve wanted that every now and then.

One of the benefits of the edit desk, with show record sequence scaled large and source clips on the side and small. Reels are overrated.

haha - reels are the best thing about flame.

exactly. I mean this is close to what I need. but would love to see a pint sized reels on the left

Reels used to be the best part about Flame. After Anniversary they were never the same. The snappiness and precision is all gone. But that’s me and my yearly reels gripe.

I agree, at some point they became no longer smooth. They get stuck frequently when there are more than a couple timelines.

This reminds me… Im very past due to submit a ticket about this. It just hard when you are in the thick of it.

I remember seeing @Jonhollis cut and splice frames on a reel in 1995 and I pretty much lost my mind.
Having said that I was only once privy to seeing Jon operate the digital room at the Mill and was quietly told that he was the fastest and most valuable editor in the world.
Jon is a mind blower on all levels really.
If you didn’t already know that about Jon, you weren’t paying attention.

I agree with this. too much emphasis on the effects side panel. cant even drag timeline FX clip to the desktop anymore.

sorry this looks like I agree with phils glowing report of me. I meant the comment about sluggish reels! thanks though Phil.
