We’re high up in the pennines, on the edge of a small village 30 miles from Manchester, an almost identical 4bed detached with large garden sold recently for £290k.

Most new home owners I know of in the LA area are getting in with substantial help. Either a legacy inheritance and/or family assistance. It’s nearly impossible otherwise. It’s even worse in Orange County.

In Barcelona, you can find a 3bd 2ba apartment in the city starting 500K euros, 90-100 m2. More space, higher price, and if you want a terrace, from 700K to millions.
So Redfin emailed me again. Apparently my old house is worth $100,000 more than it was a month ago.
Nothing to see here folks. I’m sure this is just normal market forces and everything will be just fine.
its not that your house is worth 100k more its that the dollar has lost about 20% of its value but its all the same and welcome to a world with just more expensive stuff all around, this is perfectly normal nothing to see here folks.

There’s a new house down the street just went on the market. A bit of a fixer upper but great for a Flame Artist never at home.
