1st Annual ‘World VFX Day’ Announced

A collective of visual effects studios, organizations, and professionals aim to bring the visual effects industry into the spotlight with a new annual event, “World VFX Day,” launching December 8, a date selected in homage to George Méliès’ birthday. The event celebrates the exceptional achievements and contributions of the visual effects community to the world of entertainment.

“I’ve worked in visual effects marketing for around five years, and I’m constantly in awe of what is created,” said Hayley Miller, VFX Marketing Consultant and initiator of ‘World VFX Day. “But not enough people outside of our industry realize how much work and passion drives what we see on screen. The ‘World VFX Day’ initiative endeavors to provide a platform for the positive recognition visual effects deserve.”
