Flame 2024.2.1. I’m doing colour loop tests and not quite getting the EXR’s to match the QT after applying all of the LUTS. A colourist has suggested that I switch the 3D LUT interpolation to TETRAHEDRAL. Can’t find this in any menu - has anyone come across this before? Thanks
Go to Preferences, Project Tab on left, Color Management on top. There’s a 3D LUT interpolation dropdown. It does default to TETRAHEDRAL on my system.
So your problem may be something else. But worth checking.
Sorry, can’t share a screenshot right now, or I would. This is for 2026. If you’re on 2025 or before it might differ since the whole color management was changed.
Thank you for looking, we don’t have that button on 2024 or 2025 so it must be a 2026 thing !
Interesting. I vaguely remember them talking about tetrahedral support during the 2026 release presentation, but it’s faded memory. So this may have been a 2026 improvement that came along with OCIO support.
Not sure what interpolation 2025 and before used.
This appears to be indeed a new feature in 2026. See Stephane’s note about during Logik Live: https://www.youtube.com/live/Kbz8l6d_mRw?si=lUoVmzmqSWLdqCso&t=3117
So if interpolation is the root cause of your problem, you would have to upgrade. Not straightforward though.
