Why does it never paste where your cursor is?

The left-most node in tree should be pasted under cursor if you use the copy/paste in the contextual menu or the keyboard shortcuts. It is not the case with Duplicate.
I can say with absolute certainty that in 2020.3.1 it does not do this - is this something that has been fixed since this version?
The behaviour has been introduced in 2017 Extension 1. I just tested in 2019.2 and it works…
One thing to look for: this will work only when the cursor is over the Schematic view.
It would be nice if you could record your screen to show what you are doing.
i have been getting the same issues in Batch when pasting into the schematic.
I’m using 2022.1 on Mac.
