A little yeah - it works enough that you can see all the different kernel shapes that you get from actual lens designs (in the “Spot diagram” tab) but it needs a bunch more work to be useful as a plugin… it’s kinda slow and doesn’t have Z-depth input yet. I need to re-organise the UI code but once it’s less confusing I’ll put it on github and anyone else is welcome to help out

Holy cow! Will that also simulate lens flares, the caustic pattern suggests that you can utilize it somehow…

The pixel spread trick is pretty common to avoid harsh depth transitions. If the blur isn’t strong enough at 100, the depth scale need adjusting, sometimes normalizing the z-depth pass helps.
