A little yeah - it works enough that you can see all the different kernel shapes that you get from actual lens designs (in the “Spot diagram” tab) but it needs a bunch more work to be useful as a plugin… it’s kinda slow and doesn’t have Z-depth input yet. I need to re-organise the UI code but once it’s less confusing I’ll put it on github and anyone else is welcome to help out ![]()
Looks great @lewis
Thanks for sharing. What have you written it in?
Holy cow! Will that also simulate lens flares, the caustic pattern suggests that you can utilize it somehow…
@Sinan - It’s a Lewis Saunders tool.
You already know that it can do everything.
I might have said it before - @lewis for President
@lewis That’s so cool! It’s too early for Christmas…must be my birthday!!
that’s just why i’m here… i’m thinking why do i have to pixel spread my depth pass… i’m gonna go search that on logik
three years after you’re just relevant!!
Obviously the only relevant response is to stop making cat videos, or worse, cat movies…
Thanks all, that was an instructive found!
Heheheh Great idea!! I’ll start a petition!!
Hey, @johnt , I know it’s a long time ago - but do you still have the source material for this (renders and depth maps)?
