Easy streaming from Flame to the web /// yastream.com - Beta

As many know i have been “dabbling” with live streaming for many years, from doing commercial broadcasts to radio stations websites to live streaming DJs playing in a Club on justin tv all the way from 2007 until now.

Then I did a lot of remote work way before covid and really hammered on live streaming low latency video around the globe to collaborate with color accuracy and performance,
then Covid came and we really used my tool for thousands of productions across multiple studios and countries.

Now to the next step, instead of using commercial software strung together I developed my own GO based streaming backend that is super tiny and high performance , it does SRT RTMP/S and WHIP input and then throws that into a web player and even a secondary SRT output for direct livestream ingest back into OBS for example.

if tuned properly and with people on good wired connections a real 0.5s glass to glass delivery at superb stability is very possible , i have gotten it down to 3frames G2G in testing but thats like in a LAN environment.

while i am continuously working on my big project - remoteroom , which is a lot more than just livestreaming - i decided to spin off this super simple livestream only product https://yastream.com

Currently payment is not live, during that first beta test so you can sign up and choose any package as of this moment and go through stripes sandbox checkout - it does not actually take your money- thats why I am only posting it here for now, so you can test it and let me know if this works for you, what do you think of the pricing, useability e.t.c love to hear peoples feedback (you can use fake CC details see at the bottom)

send me a PN as well if you want to try the iOS app , its currently on testflight  TVos and iPad are also comming soon

For Flame:
You can either use NDI → OBS → Yastream , or something like a blackmagic webpresenter or any other hardware/OBS combo you want, id love to hear which HW devices work and especially if some do not .

Feel free to try either SRT/RTMPS or WHIP and see the latency and stability you get.

Just make sure to turn off B frames and set keyframe distance to 1

Current caveats:
→ there is currently 1 server with a 2.5Gbit/s WAN connection for everyone so i would not advice to use it in real productions as I cannot guarantee performance as i dont know how many people sign up .

→ The 1 server is located in Germany, so if you are in the US/Asia e.t.c latency might not be as low as it can be, but id still love you to try it out. I will spin up more instances, the whole thing is setup and ready to scale

Goes without saying beta users that give me feedback will get a nice lifetime discount once we go live
