I need an extra workstation!
Has anyone got any experience with the latest Mac Mini?
Seem to be kinda ok for Flame, but am a little worried about the maximum of 64GB Ram.
Has anyone tried the new ML stuff in Flame on 4k-6k footage?
Or has anyone had any memory problems?
Apple seem to make a big deal about the shared memory, but does anyone have some real life experience?
You should ask @Jonhollis about his experience with the most maxed out mac mini.
My experience of a less than maxed out mac mini m4 was twofold - amazing because it runs, but you’re kind of stuck at that point, so if your needs grow you will have to bin that shit and start again.
A better bet would be a used mac studio that two years ago someone thought would be the dragon slayer but turned out to not be.
Don’t trawl ebay - seek out a local liquidator that vacuums up all of the spoils of failed businesses.

My final opinion is the Mac mini is ok but not good enough. As Phil says get a second hand Mac Studio ultra of some kind.
