Flame Family 2027 has been released and is being rolled out to your Autodesk accounts. As usual, it may take a few more hours (and maybe even days) before the builds appear in your account since they are not being rolled out to everyone in one go.
Highlights include:
The frame-based metadata of imported clips is now preserved and can be written to the OpenEXR file header of exported file sequences and published content. It can also be edited in different places, including the new Metadata node/timeline fx.
Burn can be installed on macOS.
Two machine learning models can be used to generate Depth from an image. The depth can be used to create a matte in the Selective object or standalone ML Depth nodes.
Annotations can be added in the form of strokes, rectangles, circles, lines, arrows, or text to clips in the Player or in a Viewport.
Markers can be added to nodes in Batch and on timeline segments in the Effects environment. Markers can also be managed from more areas as the markers list is now accessible in the Explorer.
Improvements have been made to the Atomize object in Action.
OpenTimelineIO files can be imported to be conformed.
Custom tokens can be created. The output of a token returning a string can be sliced to isolate a part of it.
The flame_backup command-line tool can be used to make the backup process more efficient.
Autodesk Assistant, an AI-powered assistant, can understand your questions and provide helpful responses.
The ARRIRAW, Blackmagic RAW, R3D, Sony RAW, and OpenEXR SDKs have been updated.
I could not see anything on first glance - has anything been done to the project structures/ project server / NFS stuff ? like are we getting closer to habing the whole project in the postgres db or is this the same structure etc as 2026?
Please stick with Desktop Video 15.31 as documented with Flame 2027 ( Help ). Desktop Video 16 has been released last week and we are not done validating the changes.
