Fuck. I totally forgot about Disco Elysium. Gonna buy that.
DCS World looks amazing. Which jets do you like to fly the most?

F18 F18 Guide and the A10C A10C Guide mostly - but the Swedish Viggen is next on my list methinks. Each nation has such a different approach to design and interface, really interesting. I started with the SU-27 Flanker, love the Russian aesthetic but just not a fan of their system methodology. The Mig-19 is an absolute blast, a portal into the start of the jet age. Bit of a deathtrap though!
Each plane is a “module” that you buy - which takes a good couple of years to develop. There was a bit of a ruckus recently around the F16 development: F16 data smuggling charges
(also don’t let those guides put you off. It’s not that difficult once you get into it, just an example of the depth that lies beneath the surface)
I’m playing Deathloop right now and enjoying this game with a twist very much. The idea and style are great and the length is perfect when you are a more quality to quantity person. It is also great for little 30 Min. chunks to play.
Whoa. DCS looks incredible.
I like Sokoban too.
DCS simulator? Cool. I looks like it needs a decent amount of time invested. I am only good for short bursts. I like the box sliding puzzle game @ytf Reminds me of something from out of a Zelda game.
Steam has just release the results of its Games of the Year 2021.
Just snapped up It Takes Two
So nice to see the kids needing to work together and cooperate in a game.
I’m downloading Death Standing thanks to @andy_dill. Cover me. I’m going in.
Yeah I got that on @andy_dill ’s recommendation. It is shit balls crazy like only Hideo Kojima can be. But good fun. I have only put in a couple of hours so far.
My all time favorite is Half Life and Portal series. Especially portal 2 multiplayer is great experience with my kids. I enjoyed with my daughter “It takes two” a LOT.
These days when i have time to burn i am trying Alien Isolation on max difficulty and a little diablo III.
Anybody into VR gaming? Seriously considering having a go
My absolute fav game is Kerbal Space Program. Been playing it for years.
It went on my wish list today!
That is quite a big game. Are you still downloading? What system?
IT’S SO GOOD!
even just from a game design philosophy standpoint–it’s the first game I’ve played in a long time where you are punished for killing people. (beating them senseless with a briefcase full of underwear: totally fine).
For my part, I’ve beaten Bloodborne with six or seven different characters since last summer, and I’m trying to chill out and play way less in this new year, because Elden Ring is gonna be a black hole for my free time.
Also playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild with my son, and it’s sublime. Rather like Death Stranding in many ways, where walking to the destination is it’s own reward.
Doesn’t anyone play Scrabble any more?
Its the only reason me and my missus keep the Nintendo DS’s running!
I love Wordle! That’s been a fun daily quick challenge. I had been out of gaming for quite awhile until I picked up Don’t Starve Together during 2020 lockdowns. Recently, I played Subnautica Below Zero on PS4 and really enjoyed it visually and its survival/exploration aspects.
Would anyone have any recos for an action adventure survival game in the Subnautica vein without zombies or “the infected?” I can dig on zombies but I’m looking for something less in the horror genre. I just started The Last of Us for the first time, so I think I’m going to have that covered for awhile.
I don’t know if Wordle and I are gong to be friends
