im having an issue with transcodes coming from baselight - one that we had nailed down at the mill but now im trying to recreate having forgotten those steps for quite a while…
the issue - baselight exr transcodes come into the flame with massive keycode offsets and i want to view everything starting with fr1 . simple things like knowing the frame number of a shot and offset issues in BFXs are prevalent.
i cant find any flame settings to fix this, and we are struggling with the right BL render settings - if we simply force transcodes to start at fr1 - then 2 clips from one take will try to overwrite…
im at a loss as to what we might have done previosly…
This is the default behavior since 2024 where the frame number defaults to whatever the first frame number is (i.e. 7478849494 or 1001 or 1). If the sequences are exported using timecode for frame numbering as BL generally does, then you’ll get whacky start frames.
Have a look at this video to see how to change the start frame and some other bits related to the new method.
