@bconlon - Not sure about that brother.
I would say janitor, but I can’t stay - the tannoy just called for a clean up on aisle five…
@Remy - thanks so much for taking the time to listen to the man-splainting! I apprecite you, and welcome you to the fold.
@philm I appreciate you taking the time out to talk with me. The Logik-Projekt is quite awesome and super powerful. Its inspiring and definitely reignited my Flame for Flame for sure. Much love. And thanks again.
@Jicu - Ah yes, immolation, yet another delightful medieval pastime. Every face looks so calm, even the dude on fire. Just another Tuesday, nothing to see here.
Hi @philm
I plan to update flame to 2025, then I would like to try the logik project. Can you tell me more about this project?
@philm hello, very interesting what i read here… I saw somewhere, that you will prepare some “masterclass” for logic live podcast about it? whent it will be? or better way is some demo via zoome?
so, I got to spend a little while with our prime minister of publishing last night clicking and working through the functions of the logik-projekt. One of the beautiful aspects is the simplicity in which you’re able to get some semi-complex and definity laborious processes done and make them consistent. And all of it is a framework. The specifics of the naming and such can be salted to taste. You’re not locked down or locked in.
I’m REALLY looking forward to finding the paths to really leverage this with the workflows in front of me and in the future.
Well done Phil. Looking forward to hanging out a bit more - both socially and in the projekts.
@Quinn - It was a pleasure to spend time with you brother.
It was very encouraging to watch you run through the toolset so naturally, almost like you’d been doing it for years - oh wait - you have been doing it for years…
I appreciate you.
@philm thank you for taking your time today to run me through the logik-projekt workflow! It was great to see it all in action and learn how I can work it into my pipeline.
It’s such a great structure to work with. I love all the streamlined efficiencies.
Your thought of getting this working with after effects, is icing on the cake. It opens up so many more artists who can help get stuff out the door. And maybe even get them curious to give flame a shot
Appreciate you and your generosity with your time and sharing the knowledge!
WOW! I just met with @philm who responded immediately to my gripe about colour workflow and we spent some time together yesterday where he demo’s his “FLAME PROJEKT” system to me. Now… open book… I am not remotely technical when it comes to colour science, I want things to work so that I can get on with the creative side of being a Flame Artist. I can manage technicality to a point and then my eyes roll into the back of my brain and I usually pass out. So a LOT of what Phil was explaining was honestly beyond me right now. However, this is EXACTLY what makes his system so damned impressive. With what appears to be a small learning curve FLAME PROJEKT seems to do so much of the heavy lifting for you! If I understood correctly it will setup the project for you with minimal input and sorts out all the colour science shenanigans for you! And this is just brushing the surface. Media Management via OpenClip and tons of amazing tools that allows us to be creative again rather than pushing data around!
I am doing none of this justice at all which is largely in part to my own lack of understanding of much of the geeky side of things but Phil and I will be running through some stuff next week and what I can say right now is it looks super promising and Phil is a terrifically nice guy who is being insanely generous with his time and expertise in this area! I am really looking forward to understanding this all better and will report back here I do!
@TheFaculty - Thank you for the tremendously kind words brother.
I appreciate you.
It was fun to have some lightbulb moments with you Dan - none of this is novel - all of it you knew.
It’s just the transition from stick shift to automatic, or left side of the road to correct/right side of the road!
I’m looking forward to next week’s sessions.
Phil
Just finished my second excellent session with @philm going over the Logik-projekt. Every time I see it, it blows me away. Pretty incredible, deep integrations. Looking forward to see where it all ends up!!
As a side-note, Phil helped me wrap my head around some plate publishing confusions I was having and he definitely helped me put two and two together, so thank you for that!
@Jeff - you are a legend and a pillar of the community brother.
Thank you for indulging me with your precious time.
I appreciate you.
Ok… Just had the pleasure of Phil @philm showing me his Logik-projekt…
Now… He’s always been a genius the 25 years I’ve known him, but this takes it to another level…
It’s like OpenClip on AI steroids and PEDs.
I hope every company will get Logik-Projekt running, the amount of time you’ll save is insane. No more having multiple artists do the ‘under the hood’ things their own unique way, causing massive waste of time.
This puts everyone on the same page when it comes to all the boring stuff no one really wanna deal with coz there’s no ‘right way’ of doing it…
Well, now there is a right way, LOGIK-PROJEKT!
Thanks a lot my old friend, mind blown!
@Jesper - unduly high praise from a proper legend, I don’t deserve it.
Thank you brother - I appreciate you.
@philm ,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping me out recently. When my Flame project wouldn’t open and I couldn’t figure out the issue with my regular troubleshooting, I posted on the Logik forum. You responded quickly, going through several other troubleshooting options. Even after it was sorted, you went the extra mile and introduced me to the Logik Projekt workflow.
You spent your whole evening setting up and walking me through the Logik Projekt workflow. It was amazing. I’ve been using the Projekt workflow since and will continue to use it in the future. I’m especially enjoying the open clip workflow. It makes life so much easier. Now, I’m glad (in a way) I had that issue because meeting you has enabled me to work more efficiently.
You’re a legend, Phil. Thanks so much!
@ThomReimerink - thanks for the kind words Thom.
It was a hoot, and hopefully not the last.
I appreciate you brother.
Just got off a fantastic call going through this toolset. Would highly recommend anyone curious to hit Phil up. This is game changing for freelancers and facilities alike!
Can’t wait to put a hand on this. I mostly want to say here once again how incredibly thankfull I am for people who have the capability, the will and the kindness to work for the community. R E S P E C T!!!
