Mobland/Prologue

Curious if anyone here (likely with Prologue) worked on the main title sequence for Mobland, season 1 and/or 2. Brilliance. Feels like there was a Flame hand in it. Mad respect.

Season 1 titles below. Season 2 titles are even better, but apparently no one wants to share it on the interwebs.

We’re still working on season 2

For the show VFX? I’m most interested in the title designers and artists.

Yeah, the show, not the titles. I’ll try and find out who did them.

*Not to dismiss the great show VFX, which are superb and are evidenced by the fact that I never noticed any VFX in 10 episodes. Very well done.

Say what you will about the Mill, they would at least put the credits on their website.

Re: the mill - Not historically true.

Also re: prologue - wasn’t it just Kyle cooper?

I can only speak for my time (2011-2017) but the website had credits for everyone. It was something I found refreshing after being at a handful of companies who’d scared off most of their known talent but were still selling themselves as the creators of the work.

Yup. I worked on the first film that The Mill did, Twelve Monkeys, no credit.

You should go on a mission back in time and fix that @paul_round !

I recently rewatched 12 Monkeys, and the VFX still stand up. Nice work.

The defocus on the car comps bugs me, all we had back then was a blur. I did use batch for the first time, which was 'interesting"

That was such a bleak experience…

I’ve noticed in the last few or more years post companies dont put individual names in the credits (on their own website, in advertising) anymore, they just put the company name. Why?

Because clients would then discover that the talent they rely on is the same talent thats working for every other firm…

It’s such a dumb industry…

The company gets to pretend that it created the work, even if the entire creative team of the project has left or was entirely freelance.

As someone who once told a client, “the person who did that doesn’t work here anymore,” once, I can understand why companies might want to avoid that awkwardness. Which is not to say I endorse it. I think it’s lazy bullshit that only serves the least useful people in an organization.

Imagine my surprise when I arrived in a new country, young family in tow, and nobody at imaginary forces was actually responsible for the 7even titles.

It went downhill after that…

Even listening to nine inch nails on repeat did not get me closer to god in a positive way.

Kyle Cooper remains one of my most respected talents in the industry. The “original” creative Flame artist.

Of course he was responsible for Mobland titles. Shoulda known.

Are you saying you got fucked “like an animal”
