I got some great advice here about a year ago: get a streamdeck. I bought the 32 key version and it’s been great. You can set up multiple pages for each mode: Media Hub, Batch, etc. I set the unit up right where I rest my non-pen hand and it’s been amazing.

I can’t recommend the StreamDeck more. I’m using the 15 key one which still gives you multiple pages. Works great.

Streamdeck - Anything you do that is repeated keystrokes should be automated here. It is an amazingly versatile tool.

All these guys are on macOS where this is a native app for it. On Linux, you’ll have to do some fucking around with Bitfocus Companion.
