I briefly put on shorts over my underpants and went into the office for a colleague’s retirement lunch today, and hoped to get a tiny bit of work done before heading out to eat. I brought my laptop with, but could not get Flame to launch even after rebooting the system a few times.
I got an error on the project selection screen saying it couldn’t connect to the db server at its ip address on my home network (10.1.1.xxx) even though it was on our office 192.168.x.x network. Is it possible to change this to have it look for the db by hostname instead of ip, and if so, where?
And the DB was running on your laptop?
If it’s supposed to be local, the IP address should be 127.0.0.0, which is always your local loopback, regardless of what IP address your system gets from DCHP.
It is running local on my laptop, yeah. Flame was somehow stuck looking for it at my previous IP, which I want to know where to flush out.

I often get this when I have been into the office with my Mac (fully clothed), and then try and start Flame on my home network the next day.
I usually run this command to fix it (put your specific version):
‘/opt/Autodesk/cfg/.2027/services_snapshot.sh’
If that doesn’t work, please open a support case and we can have a look!
