After bashing my head on the rocks of Rocky 9.3, I’ve returned to the safer waters of 8.7. Everything was running fine for a couple of days and then I installed my Boris apps and now I’m getting this terminal info:
Output log to: ‘/opt/Autodesk/log/vref.log’.
Fatal: (?:0 ?) This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, xcb.
I have no idea what changed or what could have caused this. I uninstalled and reinstalled flame and I still get the errors. I checked all the dependency guides and couldn’t come up with anything. Google brought me to a terridici post by cnollert that was fixed by changing the environment varibles, but nothing that explains this.
Hopefully someone has run in to this and can give me some direction because flame’s just not feeling it right now.

The only warning in the log is this one:
[warn] 3535806464 archUtil_Logging.C:327 10/15/24:17:50:16.135 [VREF]: shutdown completed
Everything else are just notices.

Hey Paco. If you are still having an issue, hit me up and I will walk you threw a few things that might get you up and running.

Thanks Marc. I’ll call tomorrow when I’m back at the computer.
Alan, I tried the environment variable display to 0,1 and 100 based on the autodesk info. Still no luck.
It is :0 for local or :100 for Teradici.
I can remote in and give you some help as well. This sounds just like what happened to GP.

Yeah that makes sense. Where I found it here on the forums was a terridici conversation.

Beau hopped on and fixed it in 30 seconds.
Answer for posterity is to change the Environmental Display Graphics to :1

In case someone has the same problem in the future and searches for the error message:
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
What did @marcwellington do?

So after the above I can’t run up flame. Uninstalled 2024.1 reinstalled the DKU and then reinstalled Flame and I keep getting the same thing:
Fatal: (?:0 ?) This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, xcb.
What am I missing? This is after installing Teradici btw…
When in doubt, open a support case. We love to help.
