Timesmear was the timeline mode on Fire/Smoke that did a pseudo slit scan above the segment—giving you a strange visual representation of the content of the segment.

It was a helpful way to see scene changes at a glance on longform shows. Well . . . . somewhat helpful. It looked cool, though.
I still feel that the Logic Op name makes more sense than Comp for that node. It implies underlying math going on, whereas Comp just sounds like a generic A over B to me…
