Serious question:

How many flame ops does it take to change a lightbulb?
–do you really want to change the lightbulb?

One. But only if the new bulb is a lift from a previous cut.

This I remember from a very early thread from the times of that 2 pages technical bulletin Discreet Logik used to publish:

  • How many directors does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

- One. But let’s see the showreels of the other ones

  • How many creative directors does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

- Creative directors do not screw in light bulbs, they screw in bath tubs

  1. One to conform, one to actually do it and a third to tell to use a different method.

Sorry…I didn’t see a Grant Kay tutorial covering it, so, I don’t know how to do it.

do you have the relevant safety training to be handling such equipment, and isn’t that the Gaffers job, anyway? Union won’t be happy with you doing that!

Just put a glow on the old one.

Depends on what the aspect ratio is.

Will the bulb be provided or do I need to create it?

Optics FTW.

This was one of my favorites. If I remember right, I think there were two that proceeded the flame artist:

How many directors does it take to change a light bulb?
I dunno, what do you think?

How many producers does it take to change a light bulb?
I dunno, what will it cost?

Queue the OP…

Classic.

I always like the DoP version.

“How many cinematographers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?”

“One. Wait, two. Shit… how many do we have on the truck?”

HFS…OPTICS! I forgot about that one!
