Sooo after looking through the documentation again which suggested trying the swdb recovery yourself before contacting support, I did … only issue with that old blog post was that of course, the path names were outdated, as they are /opt/Autodesk now instead of /usr/discreet. But that was something I could cope with even with my very limited skills, and so the process did work as described… Only issue was that after that, Stone+Wire wouldn’t start up anymore, so I couldn’t use Flame at all anymore. I tried all the suggested solutions and nothing worked, but after an hour or so, it came back on after the fifth restart or so, when I had actually already given up and wanted to do something in Resolve ;D
Then, the VIC ran successfully and for now, everything seems normal. Fingers crossed it will stay that way
