Time bar bug

Usually I grab my time bar to scrub right here. Every once in a while I crash. It’s annoying.

Sorry, not very helpful and probably pretty annoying but I couldn’t help myself

My battle-axe of an ex-mother-in-law used to say that all the time. It’s triggering.

Oh dear. I’m so sorry. I’ll show myself out.

Which Flame version Tim?

Just so I can be forewarned.

Have you sent the CER reports after you crashed? This is the first and most useful thing to do to help use fix crashes.

every time

Looks like we haven’t received anything from you in the past month. Next time, please copy the CER Report ID and post it here. That will help us identify it if you are not putting your email address in the report.

Interesting. I always send them. I sent 3 in the past 10 days. I will check the email address next time it happens.

@fredwarren I have entered an email address this time. You would think it would perpetuate after a previous crash that I entered it for as well. ID 779724522

Did it again . . . 780545169.

And again, although a slightly different stroke. 780547086. Does that mean there have been 2000 crashes wordlwide in the past 15 minutes? Just curious.

Hi Tim,

The crash indicate that the application think that an Action/Image/GmaskTracer TimelineFX is focused in the mini ui above the timeline but for another part of the application it is not. We have never been able to replicate the issue. It would be useful to have information about the timeline structure ( Timeline FX, BFX ( node inside BFX), etc ) and as well as the viewer ( 1 up, Src-Seq, Trypich, Compare modes, etc ).

Since the Customer Error Report system is used by all Autodesk desktop products, the report number can go up quickly.

In this case it was a 15 second timeline with about 9 shots, 1920x1080 with 4K footage. Every shot has an action. No BFX, TW or any other TLFX. View mode is one up. Perhaps the compare mode was Blend, but I can’t be sure. I will pay attention to that next time. It takes me by surprise, but I believe the only common user action is that when my pen touches the tablet it is already moving sideways, probably right to left, and touches down very close to the focus bar, where I circled on the screen shot in the original post.
Update: and yet one more, 780560756. Compare was off.
And for what it’s worth, I can’t get it to happen at will, no matter how hard I try.

And again. 784552272
