Timeline positioner crankiness Flame 2026.1

Hi Folks
Is anyone else having any strange sticky shenanigans going on with the timeline positioner? Not being able to scrub properly or accidentally selecting audio tracks and things shifting about when you don’t want them to? Flame 2026.1 mac. The only way i can move the yellow positioner is if i select the bottom of the yellow line. If i select the top of the yellow line i cant scrub left or right.
Is this a feature? Thought i’d check in case its just me.

Many Thanks
Marcus

I’m having a lot of shenanigans, but none resemble yours. Twice yesterday, out of the blue, every action I made brought up the export window. A restart fixed it. I have a hot key to a python hook that is unique to make batch groups with the layout I like. It frequently opens the UI renamer python hook which has no hot key. I made a new hot key for the batch group creation and the problem followed it. I’d report these except for the fact that I can’t the export window issue, and the hot key issue is all with python and custom keys. And my old favorite, grabbing the yellow positioner in just the right way (or wrong way, depending on one’s perspective) causes a crash.

Hi Tim
Sounds like your shenanigans are slightly more elevated on the pain front than mine. I’ll see the outcome of this thread by Monday then i’ll raise a bug report, although for me a difficult one to replicate the issues.

It’s always a good thing to read the What’s New section of a new release to learn about the changes that were made:

Hi Fred,

This is a classic case of RTFM on my part. Although i’m sure the changes in time will become a bonus i have, for the fear of change reverted back to the preference settings i’m used to.

Thank you for your polite response. :joy:

Best wihses
