Tracking Audiofile Use / QC

We get more and more versions to finish, that includes delivery of more and more soundfiles every day, with everyone having to

→ Be aware of new/updated soundfiles
→ make sure they are put in each sequence

The QC aspect becomes a nightmare with hundrets or even thousands of versions.

Production/QC has no way of fininding out which audiofile was used to encode a export from Flame, which is a big bummer and super annoying as it makes QC impossibly difficult.

While I found a workaround in using ffmpeg and some custom python code that compares the prores export to every audio file in the corresponding audio folder and gives a best guess result, this is very bruteforce and ressource heavy (albeit schokingly accurate) .

So I made this feature request, requesting to be able to throw the used audio-file name into some QT metadata field.

If you are in the same boat as us - please vote for this Feature Request.

Even with just a few tracks I would find this useful. Upvoted!

When we are not even able to properly/easily tag the metadata on audio channels yet, this is wishful thinking. I like it though.
