Using AI can actually improve your keying process and details

Have you ever used TopazVideoAI to improve keying footage and get better details? I thought I’d share this as I know many of you own TopazAI.

In this example I’m showing a 8bit mp4 green screen footage ran through Topaz Video AI to “improve” the sampling and make the keying process less painful.
Specially working on highly compressed footage which gives flickering edges across the whole sequence.

See before and afters below:

In this case i’m not doing any upscale operation, just “adding detail” keeping same resolution. This clip was already 4K, so working at bigger rez would be a nightmare.

Obviously this “new” green is a synthethic one but why not?

No tweaked parameters, just used Rhea model. No Upscaling!

not a bad idea… running it thru NeatVideo might do a similar thing to re-quantize the chroma.

loving the reversed thinking concept. Way better than all of the tryouts to combine ai mattes with manual fixes.
