2026.2 not available

The Project management screen says 2026.2 is available, but it’s not. still got these weird updates in my updates list too.

I can’t wait either. Takes a while for the file servers and their links to get updated I think. I will read the documents in the meanwhile: what’s new, fixed issues, known issues

I believe the same thing happened last time. They roll out gradually through the accounts - maybe as a way of preventing a download flood? I know Fred commented on that for 2026.1.

Another great usability improvement by ADSK’s common infrastructure.

doesnt look good when it says it on the splash screen with a link.

Totally. I was being sarcastic. Flame and its team is fantastic. The rest of ADSK could learn a few things from them.

I do think you’ll like the new features though. There’s some cool stuff in this release.

excellent - I saw theres a ML mask - looks like a proper one

Also, reading known issues has saved me a lot of time in some instances. It comes in handy like:

Licensing
FLME-65687: The Autodesk Licensing Service may not start correctly following a system reboot. (macOS)

Workaround: Enter the following command line in a Konsole/Terminal:

launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.autodesk.AdskLicensingService.plist |

its been doing that for a year now!

Yes, it’s well done and easy to use. As with all ML masks, they’re never perfect, but it will save you some time, especially if you just need a solid garbage matte. And they keep training the model further and have asked for input on use cases where ML masks had trouble.

This is actually my fault. This is the first time we’re doing this and I didn’t coordinate the appearance of the mention inside the application with the actual release properly. I’ll use it as a learning step and make sure it does not happen next time.

That being said, 2026.2 Update will be announced later today and will start being rolled out to your accounts as well.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

@fredwarren - well, it looks like someone is not winning “Employee of the month”…

mmmm - which one is linux which one is Mac!

the only way to find out is to download them!

Yeah, that’s a special kind of stupid.

The quick answer - it seems that the larger of the files is Linux consistently, so pick that. But I only know that because I did a test download.

A smart thing would be if the Filter above had an OS choice, but it doesn’t.

For all the usability testing ADSK does, and they’ve shown me plenty of screen mockups (do you like A better than B or C), this seems like a big miss.

Weirdly I can see 2026.2 Linux, but not Mac on my account.
