2026 G Mask Tracer

Anyone else finding issues with G Mask Tracer in 2026.2.1 on linux

Working inside BFX and pulling a key

No key frames on the node, all working well throughout the shot.. no changes. Then I exit the batch, render the shot and suddenly the parameters change and the key needs to be re-adjusted.

2026.2.1

Ill submit a ticket, just wanted to see if anyone else has found this.

not seeing it on my systems, though we are on stock 2026.2

Haven’t noticed that, but have only been on 2026 for a short while. Is there a keyframe set that may be messing with the key?

I’m having a few strange hiccups with gmask tracer, and it seems to be unusable on the timeline for anything but the most basic functions.

Not having this specific issue since we don’t use BFX, but we have another validated bug concerning gmask tracer that’s similar. Makes it more or less unusable without pre-rendering for anything moderately complex.

I would really love to hear some positive stories about the latest release, so I don’t worry about putting my jobs in jeopardy.

As I said in the other thread. We’ve given up on the 2026.X and beyond releases. Can’t deal with the bucket of surprises.

Are KFC serving Flame grilled chicken now @ALan?

Definitely no key frames. The issue only comes about when I render. It’s a repeatable fault so should be easy for me to send to send to Autodesk

I think your right that it might be colour space related.

I’m getting other colour issues with paint node too. I render and the colour shifts, I go back into bfx, bypass and then reactivate the paint node and it corrects itself…

Each time the issue seems to come about when I render on the timeline

When you say on the timeline, do you mean bfx?

No, timeline fx.
I rarely use bfx.
